The Mattress Lifespan ( Video )

What should the mattress lifespan be?

What should the mattress lifespan be? 5 years? 10 years?  Mattress technology has come a long way, and the mattresses we buy today are a lot sturdier than they were just a decade or two ago. There are some mattress manufacturers that will guarantee their products for 20 or 50 years! So why does most everyone still recommend replacing a mattress every 5 to 7 years?

Bacteria

It’s not something you like to think about very often, but our beds see a lot of bacteria over the years.  Dead skin cells fall from our bodies as we sleep, and dust mites chow down.  Dust mite fecal material collects, the bacteria flourishes, and before you know it your bed is a health hazard. Sleeping in that environment is no good for us in the long term, and this is why most mattresses need to be replaced so quickly.

Hygienitech Mattress Cleaning

Having your mattress cleaned with the Hygienitech Mattress cleaner will lift dust mites, dead skin, and debris right out of your mattress, adding years to its lifespan. The steam cleaning will kill bacteria, while the high powered suction will leave behind little for it to grow back. This is obviously a very good solution for people who are coming to the five year point with a great mattress. Why shop for something brand new, when you can keep using something perfectly good.As a bonus, here’s a video of someone using the Hygienitech system to clean their mattress in one small space. This video shows the debris from a small section of a typical mattress. The debris contains dust mites and their feces, bacteria, viruses, dead skin, and any other decayed bugs or contamination. Dead skin is the main food source for dust mites, so all mattresses, no matter how clean a home will have this debris. Guanine, the compound found in dust mite feces, is what causes allergic reaction in some people. This debis is tested to find the number of mites per inch. Our complete system uses UV-C light to kill viruses, bacteria, mold, and any other contamination. The powerful suction of our system deep cleans the mattress or stuffed furniture
